    Contract | 12-Hour Mid Shifts | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department serving a broad patient population, from newborns to the elderly, with acuity ranging from minor complaints to critically ill presentations
    • Manage and titrate a wide variety of drips including vasopressors, cardiac drips, and antihypertensive medications
    • Recognize and respond to life-threatening cardiac rhythms; interpret monitor readings using Philips monitoring equipment
    • Draw labs and perform general nursing skills in collaboration with ED techs and the multidisciplinary care team; maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3–5 based on acuity
    • Care for stabilized trauma patients transferred from the trauma bay to a pod setting; primary trauma bay assignment is not expected for travelers
    • Adhere to facility drug-free campus policy, including compliance with all drug screening requirements
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • ENPC or PALS certification required
    • TNCC or TNS certification required
    • Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard contract rates
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 prior travel assignment strongly preferred
    • SANE RN experience preferred
    • Prior experience working in a teaching hospital with residents preferred
    • Proficiency with vasopressor drip titration and management of critically ill patients in an ED setting
