    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, 65-bed emergency department serving patients ranging from newborns to elderly with a wide variety of complaints, from minor to critically ill
    • Manage and titrate a wide variety of drips including vasopressor, cardiac, and antihypertensive medications
    • Recognize and respond to life-threatening cardiac rhythms; interpret monitor readings using Philips monitoring equipment
    • Draw and collect laboratory specimens as required; collaborate with ED techs and interdisciplinary team members
    • Care for stabilized trauma patients transferred from the trauma bay to department pods; primary trauma bay assignment is not expected for travelers
    • Adhere to a drug-free campus policy, including producing a negative drug screen for all panels prior to assignment start
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • ENPC or PALS certification required
    • TNCC or TNS certification required
    • Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard contract rates
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Minimum of 2 years of emergency room nursing experience
    • At least one prior travel nursing assignment
    • SANE RN experience
    • Experience working in a teaching hospital with residents
