    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room

    Location

    Contract | 12-Hour Mid Shifts | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department serving patients ranging from newborns to the elderly across a wide spectrum of acuity levels
    • Manage and titrate a variety of critical drips including vasopressors, cardiac drips, and antihypertensive medications

    • Recognize and respond to life-threatening cardiac rhythms and interpret telemetry using Philips monitoring equipment
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including ED physicians, mid-level providers, charge nurses, ED techs, respiratory therapists, and a 24/7 house supervisor
    • Draw and collect laboratory specimens as required; coordinate with radiology and transport for imaging needs
    • Adhere to every-other-weekend rotation and holiday scheduling requirements; float as a help-all to other units on a rare, as-needed basis
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
    • Current BLS and ACLS certifications
    • Current ENPC or PALS certification
    • Current TNCC or TNS certification
    • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
    • Must be able to pass a drug screen; facility maintains a drug-free campus policy
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • At least one prior travel nursing assignment
    • SANE RN experience
    • Previous experience working in a teaching hospital environment with resident physicians
    • Proficiency with vasopressor and cardiac drip titration in a critical care or emergency setting
