    Job Title

    Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

    Location

    Overland Park, Kansas

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Mid-Shift (as early as 10:00 AM – 10:30 PM, as late as 1:00 PM – 1:30 AM) | Every Third Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed Emergency Department at a Level 2 Trauma Center with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
    • Perform all procedures associated with a Level 2 Trauma Center, including trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis management, and triage
    • Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Level 1 fluid warmers, GE monitor systems, Arctic Sun, Lifepak, and Alaris pumps
    • Document patient care accurately using the Meditech documentation system
    • Adhere to patient experience standards including use of AIDET communication framework and whiteboard updates
    • Float to other units only on a rare basis when other staff have been flexed home
    Required Qualifications
    • Current Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Emergency/Trauma RN in a Level 2 Trauma Center
    • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC or PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale
    • Proficiency in trauma care, STEMI care, stroke care, sepsis protocols, and triage
    • Ability to work a mid-shift schedule including every third weekend
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) or TCRN (Trauma Certified Registered Nurse) certification
    • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
    • Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system
