    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity, Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department with 20 beds, 5 trauma bays, 10 OBS beds, and a 6-bed Fast Track area
    • Manage and care for patients presenting with trauma, sepsis, chest pain, shortness of breath, strokes (including TPA administration), and other emergent conditions
    • Administer and monitor all common drips associated with a Level I Trauma environment
    • Read and independently interpret cardiac monitor strips and telemetry
    • Float to OBS unit and a freestanding Emergency Room location at least once per week
    • Collaborate with ED physicians, mid-level providers, charge nurses, and support staff including nurse aides, EMTs, and paramedics
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
    • Recent experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center (required)
    • Ability to read and interpret cardiac monitor strips independently
    • Must pass a facility-administered open-book skills exam with a minimum score of 90% during orientation
    • Compliance with facility fingernail policy — artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification preferred
    • Experience in a Pediatric Certified or Comprehensive Stroke Center environment
    • Familiarity with fast-track and observation unit workflows
