Care for a complex patient population including transplant, burn, LVAD, ECMO, comprehensive stroke, chest pain, PICU, NICU, and L&D cases
Perform accurate triage and patient assessment using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
Participate in rotating on-call and rotating weekend call as required
Float within scope to other units or sister facilities as needed to meet operational demands
Required Qualifications
Active, unrestricted RN license (no pending licenses accepted)
Minimum 2 years of emergency room experience in an acute care setting; prior experience should include a minimum 30-bed ER environment
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and ESI
Must live more than 75 miles from the contracted facility to be eligible — local candidates are not eligible for this position
Valid driver's license or state-issued ID required, along with a utility bill in the traveler's name with a matching address dated within the last three months of the projected start date
No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) per 13-week contract period; no holiday RTO accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with ECMO, LVAD, or other advanced cardiac or critical care modalities in an ED setting
Familiarity with high-volume emergency departments and complex, multi-specialty patient populations
