Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Days (Mids) | 36/48-hour alternating weekly schedule; 48-hour weeks may be considered | 12-hour shifts | 12 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) expected per contract
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-acuity emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced ER environment
- Perform thorough patient assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring throughout the care continuum
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities
- Maintain all required certifications including ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC throughout the duration of the contract
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas or compact equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Emergency Room nursing
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Current resume required at time of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Cerner electronic health records system
- Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency or high-acuity setting
