Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients presenting with a wide range of emergent and non-emergent conditions
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to dysrhythmias
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and facilitate timely disposition
- Accurately document all patient care activities in the electronic health record system
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Department experience required
- Active Massachusetts RN License — must be current and on hand at time of submission
- Active American Heart Association BLS — must be current and on hand at time of submission
- Active American Heart Association ACLS — must be current and on hand at time of submission
- Active American Heart Association PALS — must be current and on hand at time of submission
- Active Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) — must be current and on hand at time of submission
- Basic Dysrhythmia course completion — strongly required
- Candidate must have personal transportation available for this assignment
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health record system strongly preferred
- Familiarity with high-acuity emergency care in a teaching hospital environment
