Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Participate in facility orientation, including completion of required training modules
- Be prepared to serve on an Emergency Team if an emergency event occurs, which may include remaining at the facility until the event passes or serving as part of a relief team
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license – Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency Room nursing
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and CPI – all must be AHA-issued where applicable
- NURSYS report required and must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date)
- Two Manager/Supervisor references (in PDF format) required prior to start – Charge RN references are not accepted
- Must live more than 65 miles from the facility (as measured from the address on file with the driver's license) – local travelers are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in high-volume or Level I/II trauma emergency departments
- Familiarity with emergency triage protocols and rapid patient assessment
- Strong ability to adapt in high-pressure, fast-changing clinical environments
