Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Variable Start Times (1500 or 1900) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Utilize Epic electronic health record system for accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Maintain required certifications including ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, and TNCC throughout the duration of the assignment
- Participate in every-other-weekend scheduling as required by the facility
- Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
- Wear facility-designated solid royal blue scrubs while on assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission — pending licenses are not accepted
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
- Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests at the time of submission; post-submission RTO requests may not be considered or granted
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a standard traveler (locals may be considered under separate terms)
- Two professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with Epic charting system
- Experience working in an acute care hospital environment
- Familiarity with high-acuity emergency department workflows and protocols
