Key Responsibilities
- Assess the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of patients in a high-volume Emergency Room setting
- Plan and implement individualized nursing care based on patient and family needs
- Make appropriate clinical interventions based on individual patient assessments
- Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions and adjust care plans accordingly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to maintain standards for professional nursing practice
- Direct, coordinate, and delegate activities to foster patient- and family-centered care in accordance with hospital policy and regulatory guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 3 years of Emergency Room experience required
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) – Required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association) – Required
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association) – Required
- Must reside more than 35 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard travel rates
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center or high-volume emergency department
- Familiarity with tertiary hospital environments and complex patient populations
- Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced setting
