Key Responsibilities
- Deliver age-specific, direct patient care utilizing the Nursing Process in an emergency room setting
- Provide nursing care in accordance with Department of Nursing Standards of Patient Care and Specialty Specific Standards of Patient Care
- Assume leadership responsibilities including delegation of work to other levels of staff
- Ensure compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Active ACLS certification
- Active BLS certification
- Active TNCC certification
- Active PALS or ENPC certification
- Active NRP certification and de-escalation training required; a renewal plan must be in place for any certifications not active prior to start date
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in an emergency room or acute care nursing environment
- Demonstrated ability to lead and delegate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
