    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room

    Location

    Meridian, ID | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 12-hour shifts | Mid shifts (various start times between mid-morning and early afternoon, with PM shift variations available; shift start times will be consistent — early shifts will not be immediately followed by late shifts) | Minimum 4 weekend days (Saturday/Sunday) per 6-week period | Holiday availability as needed

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity emergency department treating approximately 170 patients per day, including adult and pediatric populations with diagnoses such as stroke, STEMI, trauma, and abdominal pain
    • Manage nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5, including ESI Level I patients, with responsibilities for stabilization and coordination of pediatric transfers
    • Read and interpret cardiac monitor telemetry using SpaceLabs cardiac monitors independently
    • Administer and monitor common vasoactive and sedation drips including Nicardipine, Propofol, Fentanyl, Norepi, Nitro, Versed, and Precedex
    • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including ED physicians, APPs, CNAs, respiratory therapy (available 24/7), and in-house security to deliver safe, coordinated care
    • May occasionally float to affiliated emergency departments at nearby facilities as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license
    • BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS, and ENPC certifications required
    • Minimum 2.5 years of emergency department experience in a larger, urban hospital setting
    • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Trauma experience strongly preferred, given the facility's Trauma Level IV designation and active pursuit of Level III Trauma status
    • Familiarity with high-acuity patient management including STEMI and stroke protocols
    • Experience with Epic electronic health records
