    TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Merced, California, 95340!

    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

    Location

    Merced, CA | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 33-room Emergency Department, including 25 rooms equipped with cardiac monitors, and a triage area staffed with midlevels, RNs, and LVNs
    • Manage a patient ratio of 1:4 in a high-volume ER averaging 210 patients, including ER holds and boarded patients
    • Utilize Cerner EMR for thorough and accurate clinical documentation in compliance with EMTALA requirements
    • Collaborate with ER Techs (EMT, MA, or CNA background), Respiratory Therapy, Pharmacy, and a 24/7 Charge Nurse to coordinate patient care
    • Monitor patients using GE telemetry with central monitoring stations at both nurses' stations
    • Participate in self-scheduling with 2 weekends required per 4-week period and 2 out of 3 holidays
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license valid in California
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • NIHSS certification required
    • Minimum prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers are not eligible
    • Strong, thorough clinical documentation skills required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Recent Cerner EMR experience strongly preferred; candidates with Cerner experience may be eligible to test out of Cerner training
    • Experience in a stroke-certified or high-acuity Emergency Department
    • Familiarity with EMTALA guidelines and compliance in an ED setting
