Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 37-bed, Level 2 Trauma Emergency Department with a 1:4 patient ratio in zone
- Utilize MediTech EMR for documentation and patient management
- Perform assessments, interventions, and treatments consistent with emergency nursing standards
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, technicians, and paramedics across day and night shifts
- Float to support ED patients admitted to hospital holding within the ED as needed
- Adhere to unit dress code: royal blue scrub top and bottom
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Texas or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- TNCC certification required
- Demonstrated high-caliber patient experience skills
- Ability to commit to 4 weekend shifts within a 4-week period; no on-call requirement
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with HCA facilities and/or MediTech EMR strongly preferred
- High energy, self-motivated, and team-oriented personality well-suited for a fast-paced ED environment
- Flexibility with scheduling and minimal time-off requests during the contract period
- Familiarity with GE monitoring equipment
