Key Responsibilities
Perform head-to-toe assessments for Emergency Room and Medical/Surgical patients
Initiate and manage IV starts, infusions, Foley catheter insertions and care, nasogastric tube insertions and care, and feeding tube infusions
Monitor patients using telemetry and Philips cardiac monitoring systems
Provide care for swing bed (skilled) patients recovering from acute illness requiring additional rehabilitation or IV infusions
Document patient care using Epic computerized charting and administer medications via Omnicell dispensing system and Plum A+ IV pumps
Float between the Emergency Room and Medical/Surgical units as needed
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in good standing
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
Experience with IV starts, ER care, medical/surgical patients, and swing bed (skilled) patient care
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
Must live at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
Familiarity with Epic electronic health records and Omnicell medication dispensing systems
Experience with Plum A+ IV pumps and Philips cardiac monitors
Prior experience caring for post-operative patients following outpatient surgical procedures
