Key Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff within the Emergency Room setting
- Coordinate patient care with other disciplines utilizing critical thinking and independent professional judgment
- Apply emergency nursing skills including response to stroke, cardiac, and pediatric emergencies
- Maintain compliance with hospital fire and life safety protocols and department-specific standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Holiday time-off requests will not be approved during the contract period
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Prior acute care facility experience
