Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (8:00 PM – 8:00 AM) | 3 Days / 12 Hours | Onsite | Weekend requirement: 6 days per 6-week schedule period | Projected Start: 08/17/2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned Emergency Department patients.
- Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatment.
- Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided accurately and thoroughly.
- Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and connect with appropriate resources.
- Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to effectively manage clinical situations.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of Texas or a compact state license.
- Current BLS certification required (American Heart Association only).
- Current ACLS certification required (American Heart Association only).
- Current PALS certification required (American Heart Association only).
- Current TNCC certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Emergency Room or related nursing specialty.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Department setting.
