Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process across all areas of the unit
- Assess patients upon admission and continuously throughout their stay
- Administer IV medications, therapy, and blood products as needed
- Provide patient and family education throughout the care continuum
- Document nursing care actions, teaching, observations, and patient responses accurately
- Serve in charge nurse and preceptor roles when needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing — no hits or actions on license or background
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting
- At least 1 year of critical care nursing experience
- Must be willing and able to fulfill charge nurse and preceptor responsibilities as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume emergency care environment
- Familiarity with chest pain center protocols or cardiac emergency care
