Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process across all areas of the emergency department unit
- Assess patients upon admission and continuously throughout their stay, monitoring and documenting clinical status and responses
- Administer IV medications, IV therapy, and blood products as clinically indicated
- Provide patient and family education related to diagnosis, treatment, and care plans
- Document nursing care actions, clinical observations, teaching, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly
- Serve in charge nurse and preceptor roles as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with no hits or actions on license or background
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting
- Minimum of 1 year of critical care nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume emergency department with a dedicated chest pain center
- Prior experience in charge nurse or preceptor roles within an ED environment
