Staff RN – Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 5 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care using the nursing process for Emergency Department patients
- Administer medications and perform treatments accurately and safely; implement physician orders as written
- Notify physicians of pertinent observations and changes in patient status in a timely manner
- Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge
- Maintain thorough, concise, and accurate documentation of the nursing process
- Accept responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks in the implementation of care
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Ohio required
- Current CPR certification required
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and make independent decisions
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Previous nursing experience, particularly in an Emergency Department setting
- Experience with problem-solving and facilitating resolution to complex clinical issues
