Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care for emergency patients across varying acuity levels
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly using EPIC electronic health records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective patient outcomes
- Maintain compliance with facility protocols, including crisis prevention and de-escalation procedures in accordance with CPI Blue Card standards
Required Qualifications
- Valid California RN license in-hand at time of application (EMSA not accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room nursing experience
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required and must be in-hand at time of application
- CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute required and must be in-hand at time of application — MAB or Online CPI Blue certification not accepted
- EPIC experience required and must be documented in work history
- Two supervisor references required at time of application
- Local candidates are welcome and will be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a high-volume emergency department environment
- Strong crisis intervention and de-escalation skills
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
