Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 36/48-Hour Option | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting with an average daily census of 130 and a 47-bed unit
- Manage a patient population spanning all age ranges, from infant to geriatric, across a wide variety of complex diagnoses
- Maintain a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio while delivering high-quality, time-sensitive emergency care
- Float within the Emergency Department specialty as required; travelers are first to float
- Work holidays as scheduled and every other weekend as required
- Maintain active and compliant certifications including RN MD or Compact License, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), NIH Stroke Scale, and CPI
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Maryland or a Compact License valid at time of submission
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications – American Heart Association (AHA) only
- CPI certification required – The Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Room RN experience required; 2 years preferred (first-time travelers with strong ER skills and experience will be considered)
- Must reside 50 or more miles from the facility to be eligible (permanent address required)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of Emergency Room RN experience
- Experience managing complex, high-acuity diagnoses across diverse patient populations
- Comfort with floating within scope and adapting to varying unit needs without restrictions
