Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00–07:00
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a community hospital Emergency Room setting
- Document and manage patient records using EPIC (required, no exceptions)
- Float within scope of practice to other units as needed
- Complete all required facility orientation modules within the designated orientation week timeframe
- Participate in fingerprinting process as required for ER candidates per applicable state code; candidates may not begin assignment until results are received
Required Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submittal
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- PALS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- EPIC charting experience required
- 2 professional references required
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same base rate; no radius restrictions apply
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Room setting
