Fulfill weekend and holiday scheduling requirements, including a minimum of 4 weekend shifts and 2 Fridays per 4-week schedule, plus 2 major and 2 minor holidays. Operate and monitor specialized equipment including ventilators, BiPAP, EKG, arterial lines, Belmont rapid infusers, and chest tubes.
Provide direct patient care in a 38-bed Emergency Department encompassing Rapid, Main, and a psychiatric-safe pod area
Operate and monitor specialized equipment including ventilators, BiPAP, EKG, arterial lines, Belmont rapid infusers, and chest tubes
Perform and assist with procedures including port placement and chest tube management
Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
Apply de-escalation techniques, particularly within the psychiatric-safe pod environment in accordance with unit policy

Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience
Demonstrated prioritization and time management skills
Completion of a de-escalation course (CPI preferred)
Ability to float to a secondary Emergency Department location as needed
