Key Responsibilities
- Perform triage of patients using critical thinking and comprehensive assessment skills
- Manage IV/IO access, chest tube management, urinary catheterization, and critical care drip administration
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
- Provide critical care assessment and management within a 16-bed Emergency Department at a 4:1 variable patient ratio
- Document patient care accurately using FirstNet – Cerner EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Tennessee or compact state eligibility
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- CPI certification required (may be obtained after contract start; provided on site)
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience
- Proficiency with IV skills and cardiac monitoring competency
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with critical care drips and hemodynamic monitoring
- Familiarity with FirstNet – Cerner EMR platform
- Experience in a high-acuity or trauma-level emergency department setting
