Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department within a Joint Commission Accredited Critical Access Hospital
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients across a broad acuity range
- Collaborate with physician-staffed emergency services teams available 24/7 to deliver timely, high-quality care
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Support continuity of care through effective handoff communication and coordination with interdisciplinary team members
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Michigan or a compact state license
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel placement
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency or acute care setting
- Familiarity with Critical Access Hospital environments and workflows
- Experience with chest pain protocols or ACC-accredited Chest Pain Center standards
