Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with 40+ beds and a 4:1 patient ratio (3 rooms and 1 hall bed during peak volume)
- Perform IV starts, phlebotomy, cardiac monitoring, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Operate and utilize unit equipment including cardiac monitors, EKGs, ultrasound, Belmont Rapid Infuser, IO Drills, and Lifepak devices
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including team leads, advanced paramedics, and support staff across all shifts
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Strong adaptability and ability to function effectively as a team player in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a high-pressure clinical environment
- Background in a medical role such as RN, paramedic, or technician prior to current position
- Outgoing, positive demeanor with the ability to remain composed under pressure
