Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with 40+ beds and a 4:1 patient ratio (3 rooms and 1 hall bed during peak volume)
- Perform IV starts and phlebotomy as part of routine patient assessment and treatment
- Perform cardiac monitoring and interpretation using unit equipment including cardiac monitors, EKGs, and Lifepak devices
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including team leads, advanced paramedics, and support staff across day shift operations
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Maintain composure and adaptability in a fast-paced, high-pressure emergency care environment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Missouri or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and CPI
- Strong adaptability and ability to function effectively as a team player in a high-acuity setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a high-pressure or high-volume emergency or acute care environment
- Background in a clinical role such as RN, Paramedic, or Emergency Department Technician
- Outgoing, positive demeanor with the ability to remain composed under pressure
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
