    Job Title

    Travel RN – Emergency Room

    Location

    Hopewell, Virginia

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Mid Shift: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM | Every other weekend required, including at least 1 Friday and 1 Monday per 4-week schedule | No on-call required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a 22-bed Emergency Room setting with a 1:4 patient ratio
    • Perform and assist with procedures including cardioversion, central line placements, cardiac arrests, IV insertions, and EKGs
    • Execute Code Stroke and Code Sepsis protocols as well as pacemaker interrogation
    • Assist with suture and abscess setup and other standard emergency department procedures
    • Utilize Phillips and GE monitors and Level 1 Rapid Infuser equipment; document care using Meditech (EDM) EMR
    • Float to a freestanding emergency department location as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
    • Strong IV skills with both adult and pediatric populations
    • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Trauma experience and/or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
    • Prior experience with Meditech EMR
