    Job Title

    Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

    Location

    Hickory, NC | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours Guaranteed Per Week | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, 32-bed Emergency Department serving a birth-to-death patient population
    • Apply critical care thinking and strong clinical skills across a wide range of diagnoses and emergent presentations, including strokes, STEMIs, and trauma
    • Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 while delivering high-quality patient and family-centered care
    • Rotate weekend hours on an every-other-weekend basis and adjust hours as needed based on census
    • Float to other areas within scope of competencies as part of a helping-hands model
    • Document accurately using Cerner EHR
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experience
    • ACLS certification required
    • PALS or ENPC certification required
    • NIHSS certification required
    • Proficiency with Cerner EHR is required
    • Must not be a first-time traveler
    • Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel consideration
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced Emergency Department setting
    • Clinical experience managing stroke, STEMI, and trauma patients
    • Energetic, knowledgeable, and able to demonstrate stamina in a demanding environment
