    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER/ED Float)

    Location

    Centennial, CO (Float Zone – Denver Metro Area, CO)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite | Float Position

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in emergency department settings across multiple facilities within an assigned float zone covering a 60-mile radius
    • Assess, triage, and manage a diverse patient population including abdominal pain, stroke, NSTEMI, trauma, pneumonia, hypertension, and diabetes-related presentations
    • Administer and monitor standard emergency medications and drips; perform and interpret telemetry strips independently
    • Conduct point-of-care lab testing as trained and required by each facility
    • Collaborate with charge nurses, physicians, mid-level providers, and support staff including techs and respiratory therapy available 24/7
    • Adapt to varying facility environments, patient volumes (40–168 patients per day), and nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5 based on acuity
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Colorado
    • Minimum 2 years of emergency department (ED) experience
    • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
    • Ability and willingness to float across all facilities within the assigned zone with no single home base facility
    • Must be available every other weekend and every other holiday
    • Must be present in-state for the full week of orientation
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working in multi-facility or float pool environments
    • Familiarity with trauma, STEMI, and stroke receiving facility protocols
    • Comfort with just-in-time scheduling and flexible shift assignments
