    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

    Location

    Greenville, NC | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (0700–1930) | Expected 36 hours/week | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume, 92-bed emergency department with a 1:4 RN-to-patient staffing ratio
    • Manage a primary population that includes acute stroke (ischemic, hemorrhagic, SAH), seizure management, congestive heart failure, sepsis, acute MI, trauma (MVC, falls, GSW), and diabetes management
    • Administer and monitor telemetry and IV drip therapies in accordance with department protocols
    • Perform ESI triage assessment and prioritization of incoming patients
    • Collaborate with neuro-medicine and neurosurgical subspecialty teams to coordinate patient care
    • Adhere to a schedule that includes 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule cycle
    Required Qualifications
    • Active RN license (Compact license accepted)
    • BLS certification – American Heart Association required
    • ACLS certification – American Heart Association required
    • PALS certification – American Heart Association required
    • Minimum 2 years of emergency room nursing experience
    • Telemetry and IV drip experience required
    • Must reside at least 80 miles from the facility to be eligible
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Strong Level I Trauma experience highly preferred
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred
    • ESI Triage training preferred
    • Experience with EPIC electronic health records
