Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Expected 2 weekend shifts or 4 weekend days per 6-week period | Holidays as needed | No Call
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting during night shift hours
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for ED patients across varying acuity levels
- Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Float to alternate health system campuses as needed based on staffing requirements
- Complete a compliance EKG exam (up to 2 attempts allowed) prior to or during onboarding
- Participate in unit-based orientation modules as required (non-billable, approximately 2–4 hours, hours may vary by unit)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
- ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Active driver's license required for address verification purposes
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates within a 50-mile radius will not be considered
- No open background check cases permitted; third-party education verification required
- Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with the application — no post-submission RTO will be accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CPI, PALS, and/or TNCC certifications preferred
- Previous Charge RN experience preferred
- Level 2 Trauma center experience preferred
