Key Responsibilities
Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff within the Emergency Room setting
Coordinate patient care with other disciplines utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment
Apply professional and supervisory discretion in dynamic, fast-paced emergency care situations
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor required
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from an approved vendor required
Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI), Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM), or TEAM-A certification required
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Prior acute care facility experience
