    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER/ED Float)

    Location

    Garden City, KS (Float Zone – travel within a 60-mile radius required)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite | Every other weekend and holiday required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in emergency room settings across multiple facilities within a designated 60-mile float zone
    • Assess, triage, and manage patients presenting with a variety of conditions including abdominal pain, diabetes, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension
    • Administer and monitor standard ER medications and drips; interpret and read telemetry strips independently
    • Perform and interpret Point of Care lab testing as trained
    • Collaborate with charge nurses, physicians, mid-level providers, and support staff including techs and respiratory therapy
    • Float between emergency department locations within the assigned zone based on scheduling needs
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Kansas
    • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
    • Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry
    • Willingness and ability to float throughout the full 60-mile zone radius for each assigned shift
    • Must be present in-state for the full week of orientation
    • Valid driver's license required; housing must be arranged to accommodate zone-wide float requirements
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency department setting
    • Experience working in facilities with mixed acuity patient populations and variable census volumes
    • Comfort working in environments without dedicated monitor technicians or separate psychiatric/seclusion rooms
