    Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel Contract)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 13-Week Assignment | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in an 11-bed Emergency Department with a 1:2–3 patient ratio on the night shift
    • Perform and assist with procedures including STEMI protocol, stroke protocol, conscious sedation, chest tubes, codes, intubation, laceration repair, antivenom infusion, and orthopedic splinting
    • Operate unit equipment including Philips monitors, Hill-Rom beds, Omnicell, GE EKG machine, Lifepak 20e defibrillator, Lucas device, and Verathon bladder scanner
    • Document patient care accurately using Meditech Expanse EMR
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses and patient care technicians to ensure safe, efficient patient throughput
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum 3 years of recent Emergency Department experience
    • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications (TNCC is required; candidates without it will not be considered)
    • Demonstrated ability to perform high-acuity ED procedures and manage emergency protocols
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Previous experience in a charge nurse role, demonstrating the ability to multitask and think independently
    • Friendly, compassionate, flexible, and collaborative personality with strong critical thinking skills and a sense of urgency
