    Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

    Contract | 16 Weeks | Nights (Rotating Night/Evening) | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays Required as Scheduled

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting for patients across all age ranges, from infant to geriatric
    • Manage and assess patients presenting with complex, multi-system diagnoses in a high-acuity environment
    • Maintain a patient ratio of 1:4, with the possibility of up to 1:5 for lower-acuity patients
    • Work rotating night and evening shifts (19:00–07:30 / 15:00–03:30) based on departmental scheduling needs, with primary need on night shift
    • Float within the Emergency Department specialty and to sister ED facilities as needed
    • Maintain all required certifications including RN MD State License, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), NIH Stroke Scale, and CPI
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Maryland RN license or active Compact RN license at time of submission
    • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience required
    • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications — AHA only
    • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
    • CPI certification required (Calm Every Storm online version is the only acceptable online vendor; may be completed during onboarding)
    • Must reside 50 or more miles from the facility to be eligible (locals under 50 miles are not accepted unless the posting specifically states otherwise)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
    • Experience managing complex, multi-system diagnoses in a high-volume ED environment
    • Comfort with floating within scope to sister ED facilities with no restrictions
