Key Responsibilities
- Hold shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Department patients utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of patient care in the Emergency Department
- Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
- Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
- Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
Required Qualifications
- Active New Mexico RN Licensure (or compact license eligible)
- Minimum of 2 years of critical care or Emergency Department experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- BLS certification (current)
- ACLS certification (current)
- PALS certification (current)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
