Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel)

Location

Cypress, TX | Acute Care – Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Rotating Weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department with a 4:1 or 5:1 patient ratio
• Perform and assist with procedures including tPA administration, STEMI care, laceration repair, orthopedic care, and CPR
• Utilize Meditech EMR and Philips monitoring equipment for patient documentation and assessment
• Collaborate with charge nurses, triage RNs, HUCs, and patient care technicians as part of a structured shift team
• Maintain compliance with unit guidelines, dress code (royal blue scrubs), and rotating weekend schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas or compact licensure eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale, and TNCC
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Philips monitoring equipment
• Familiarity with tPA administration and STEMI care protocols
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-acuity, team-oriented emergency environment
