    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel Contract)

    Location

    Cypress, TX | Acute Care – Emergency Department

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Rotating Weekends

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct bedside nursing care to emergency department patients at a 4:1 or 5:1 patient ratio
    • Perform and assist with procedures including tPA administration, STEMI care, CPR, laceration repair, and orthopedic care
    • Triage patients and prioritize care based on acuity and clinical presentation
    • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Meditech EMR
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including charge nurses, HUCs, and patient care technicians
    • Adhere to unit dress code (royal blue scrubs) and all applicable unit policies and guidelines
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas
    • Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
    • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Scale, and TNCC
    • Proficiency with Philips monitoring equipment
    • Experience with Meditech EMR
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in a high-volume acute care emergency department setting
    • Strong triage assessment skills and ability to manage high-acuity patients
    • Demonstrated positive culture fit with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
