Perform comprehensive patient assessments, documentation, and medication administration across ESI levels 1 through 5
Provide emergency nursing care including wound care, splinting, IV insertion, urine collection, and lab draws
Operate cardiac monitors, Baxter IV pumps, and additional unit equipment; document vital signs within Meditech EMR
Fulfill triage, charge, or mid-shift nursing roles as assigned within a 16-bed emergency department with 8 hall chairs
Attend mandatory shift huddles at the start of each shift (7:00 AM and 7:00 PM) unless providing critical care
Adhere to EMTALA guidelines and complete required EMTALA training
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Level II or Level III trauma center experience
Current TNCC, ENPC, or PALS certification
Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Demonstrated compassion, sense of urgency, and strong teamwork skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) or TCRN certification
CPI certification
Greater than two years of emergency department nursing experience
