Perform comprehensive patient assessments, documentation, and medication administration across ESI levels 1 through 5
Provide wound care, splinting, IV placement, urine collection, and lab draws
Operate cardiac monitors, IV pumps, and other department equipment including Tonopen and HPs within an EMR environment (Meditech)
Participate in mandatory shift huddles at the start of each shift unless actively providing critical care
Fulfill triage, charge, or bedside nurse roles as assigned within a 16-bed emergency department with 8 additional hall chairs
Deliver timely, compassionate care for Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, and Trauma patients in a facility transitioning to Level II trauma designation
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Level II or Level III trauma experience required
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
TNCC, ENPC, or PALS certification required
Completion of EMTALA training (mandatory)
Demonstrated compassion, sense of urgency, and strong teamwork skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) or TCRN certification
CPI certification
Greater than two years of emergency department experience
