Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR
- Administer medications and provide care for patients across all acuity levels (ESI 1 through 5)
- Perform procedures including wound care, splinting, IV placement, lab draws, and urine collection
- Participate in mandatory shift huddles at the start of each shift unless actively providing critical care
- Complete required EMTALA training in accordance with department policy
- Collaborate with charge nurses, triage nurses, unit secretaries, and technicians to maintain a patient ratio of 1:4, with potential for up to 1:6 in low-acuity situations
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 1 year of emergency department experience
- Level II or Level III trauma experience required
- Current TNCC, ENPC, or PALS certification
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Demonstrated compassion, sense of urgency, and strong teamwork skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) or TCRN certification
- CPI certification
- Greater than two years of emergency department experience
