    Key Responsibilities
    • Apply the nursing process to the care of patients within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing
    • Educate patients and significant others regarding care, treatment, and health management
    • Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record system
    • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care
    • Respond effectively to patient crisis and emergency situations
    • Prioritize and adapt to rapidly changing patient and unit needs
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon
    • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Recent emergency nursing experience
    • Recent acute care hospital experience within the past 5 years
    • Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and general computer use
    • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
    • American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurses' Association Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification, or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire
    • Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) certification, or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire
    • National certification in emergency nursing (CEN or equivalent)
