    Job Title

    Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

    Location

    Columbia, SC | Acute Care Hospital

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Includes weekends and holidays as needed | No on-call required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting within an acute care hospital
    • Utilize Epic EMR for all clinical documentation and charting
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and implement patient care
    • Float between like campuses (downtown and northeast) based on census and staffing needs
    • Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June–November), including peak months of August and September
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
    • Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
    • ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
    • Proficiency with Epic EMR
    • Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be considered at the standard rate; candidates within 60 miles may be considered
    • Previous permanent or PRN staff must have been separated from the facility system for at least 1 year before being eligible as a traveler
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior travel nursing experience in an emergency room setting
    • Familiarity with high-acuity, high-volume emergency department environments
    • Experience floating between multiple units or campuses
