    Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department averaging approximately 100 patients per day at a Level II Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center
    • Manage a patient assignment at a ratio of 1:4–5 based on acuity, caring for patients presenting with diagnoses such as abdominal pain, diabetes, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension
    • Independently read and interpret telemetry monitoring without the support of a monitor technician
    • Perform and interpret Point of Care lab testing following facility training
    • Collaborate with support staff including unit techs who assist with triage, unit secretary duties, and floor support, as well as Respiratory Therapy available 24/7 for breathing treatments and ABGs
    • Float throughout the assigned zone as needed, covering facilities within a 60-mile radius of the zone's city center
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Colorado
    • Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
    • Must be present in-state for the full week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely
    • Must obtain housing that makes floating throughout the full 60-mile zone feasible, as floating applies regardless of where housing is obtained
    • Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; driver's license must be submitted
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Prior experience in a high-acuity Emergency Department setting
    • Familiarity with standard emergency department medications and drip management
    • Experience working in a trauma or stroke center environment
