Key Responsibilities
- Function as a Charge RN in the Emergency Department, providing clinical leadership and oversight during night shifts
- Deliver direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room environment within a Critical Access Hospital setting (approximately 60% ED focus)
- Serve as backup charge support for Med/Surg and Stepdown units as needed (approximately 40% of role)
- Float to Med/Surg and Stepdown units, accepting and managing patients across care areas
- Collaborate with support staff, ED technicians, and interdisciplinary teams to stabilize, treat, and coordinate patient transfers when appropriate
- Utilize telehealth resources available in the ED, including TeleEmergency, Telepsych, and Teleneonatal services
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Hampshire (must be current at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of current Emergency Room experience required
- Previous Charge RN experience required — must be clearly documented in candidate profile
- Willingness and ability to float to Med/Surg and Stepdown units and accept patients in those areas
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification required
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification required
- Active American Heart Association PALS certification required
- Active TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum) certification required
- NRP certification required
- Completed Emergency Room skills checklist required at submission
- One supervisory signed reference from within the past year of employment required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience highly preferred
- Prior experience working in a Critical Access Hospital setting highly preferred
