    Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Every 3rd Weekend Required | Holiday Rotation

    Key Responsibilities
    • Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate treatment effectiveness in a fast-paced emergency department setting
    • Administer medications safely and manage critical care drips including insulin, sedation, and inotropic agents in accordance with applicable standards and policies
    • Operate and monitor equipment including ventilators, cardiac monitoring systems, bladder scanners, and portable suction devices; manage lines and devices including IVs, CVCs, Foleys, trachs, G-tubes, NG/OG tubes, and EJs
    • Serve as the point of contact for patient care coordination across hospital departments, collaborating with ED techs, HUCs, respiratory therapy, EMS, and outside agencies as needed
    • Apply emergency nursing practice across the lifespan including medical illness, trauma, pediatric care, gerontologic care, mental health, and life- and limb-saving interventions
    • Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives and model core safety behaviors to eliminate preventable harm and ensure a safe care environment
    Required Qualifications
    • Current RN license in the state of practice or covered by compact licensure
    • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; 3+ years preferred
    • Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
    • Active ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required
    • Active PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
    • NIHSS and CPI certifications required; dysrhythmia exam required prior to start (study guide available)
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) certification preferred
    • Ultrasound-guided IV placement experience preferred
    • Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) system preferred
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
