    Key Responsibilities
    • Provides individualized, holistic, and age-specific patient and family care that progresses patients toward self-identified goals using the nursing process.
    • Performs comprehensive assessments, develops plans of care, implements nursing interventions, and evaluates patient and family progress toward established goals.
    • Serves as a patient and family advocate, encouraging participation in decision-making and upholding individual and family rights.
    • Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate patient care activities, manage complex clinical situations, and expedite patient progress.
    • Identifies and addresses patient and family educational needs through individualized education plans, applying adult-learning theory and appropriate resources.
    • Delegates and assigns care to other healthcare team members within their scope of practice and communicates patient care needs through thorough documentation per department policies and procedures.
    Required Qualifications
    • Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
    • Minimum of three years of recent RN experience in an RN role.
    • Minimum of two years of recent RN experience in a specialty area.
    • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
    • Current BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS certifications required.
    • CPI or comparable crisis prevention/intervention certification required (must be an 8-hour course with at least half of the class completed in person).
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience working in an Emergency Room or high-acuity clinical environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to recognize and respond to complex, new, or high-risk clinical situations with appropriate resource utilization.
